Install addon

There are a couple of different ways an addon can be installed.

This document covers the following menu items:

Install

If you are signed in to your Stremio account, you can install the addon directly to your account. The addon will instantly become available on all your devices.

Install (client)

Alternatively, you can install an addon using your local Stremio client. Stremio must be installed on the device you are currently using.

Install (browser)

This method will open Stremio web  for installation. Make sure you are signed in to your Stremio account in the web app.

Configure

If the addon is configurable, choose this method to open the addon’s configuration page in a new tab.

If you are signed in to your Stremio account, you can copy the configured manifest URL and install it to your account:

• Click My account in the header
• Select Addon manager from the menu
• Click the Add addon button
• Pate the configured manifest URL and click the preview button
• This should open the configured addon page with installation button.

Unauthenticated users must install the addon the usual way by clicking the Install button ont the addon’s configuration page or pasting the link manually in the Stremio client.

We are aware that this installation method currently doesn’t offer the best user experience and we are working on improving it.

Copy manifest URL

You can always manually install the addon by copying the manifest URL and pasting it into the Stremio client. This is useful if you want to install the addon on a different device or share it with someone else.
