Account

As mentioned in the FAQ, an account is not required to use the platform. However, if you want to unlock additional features, such as submitting addons and installing them directly to your Stremio account, you will need to sign in using your Stremio  account.

Security

We feel like full transparency is warranted for this topic as it is different from the original addon list and we totally get it if you are skeptical about it.

To keep it short and to the point: we are not affiliated with Stremio, but we are a community-driven effort. We do not store any of your personal data, and we do not have access to your Stremio account. We only use the Stremio API to authenticate you and to manage addons on your behalf. Technical details

Unlike some other third party apps you may have encountered already, we sign you in using the same secure procedure used by the Stremio Android TV app. We only receive an ‘authentication token’ from Stremio. We don’t have access to your password.

Your authentication token is securely stored in your browser via a cookie (this is more secure than local storage because it is invulnerable to XSS attempts). We do not store it on our servers.

Recommendations

If you are an addon developer, we recommend using a separate Stremio account to keep your personal and developer accounts separate.
